- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 3 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 1/2 c. finely chopped apples
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 stick butter
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Mix flour and Crisco.

2Stir in milk to make a soft dough. Chill.

3Bring to boil white sugar, water, vanilla and butter. Roll chilled dough in rectangle and sprinkle apples, brown sugar and cinnamon over it.

4Roll up like a jelly roll and cut in 1-inch slices.

5Place slices over heated mixture in large pan.

6Bake 1 hour at 350°.
