- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- enough sweet milk to make stiff
- 2 c. water
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 1/4 c. white sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/2 c. chopped and peeled apples
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Mix flour, shortening and milk to make stiff.

2Chill 5 to 6 hours.

3In saucepan let water, margarine, sugar and vanilla get hot.

4Roll chilled pastry thin and add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon.

5Roll up into long roll.

6Slice 1 1/2 inches thick.

7Add this to the top mixture.

8Cook 1 hour at 350°.
