  • 2 cans (1 lb. 4 oz. each) pie sliced apples
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. golden raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/c. butter

Directions

    Combine apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice in large bowl.

    Toss lightly to mix. Mix flour and brown sugar in a medium size bowl with pastry cutter until crumbly.

    Spoon half of apple mixture into an 8 cup baking dish.

    Sprinkle with half each of the raisins and crumb mixture.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes until brown.
