Apple Spice Cake

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 c. flour
• 1 c. sugar
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. cloves
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 5 Tbsp. safflower or canola oil
• 2 Tbsp. baking molasses
• 1 tsp. vinegar
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2/3 c. applesauce
• 1/4 c. warm water
• 1/2 c. brown sugar
• 1/4 c. soft margarine
• 3 Tbsp. cream, made from coffee creamer
• 1/2 c. coconut
• 2/3 to 1 c. Rice Krispies (in place of nuts)
