- 2 (15 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, rinsed drained
- 1 golden delicious apple, peeled and chopped
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter or 1/4 cup tahini
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions

1In a blender, blend: garbanzo beans, chopped apple, lemon juice, peanut butter, water, salt, apple pie spice and cayenne pepper, until smooth and creamy. Cover and refrigerate up to three days.

2Before serving, sprinkle the dip with cayenne pepper.

3Serve with apple slices, wheat crackers, and crisped pita wedges.
