  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 1 box spice cake mix

Directions

    Spread on well buttered glass baking dish, butter and brown sugar which have been mixed.

    Arrange apple slices on top of this mixture.

    Prepare your favorite spice cake mix according to directions on package.

    Pour batter over apples and bake until cake is done.

    Invert on serving plate and serve hot with lemon sauce or whipped cream.
