- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. margarine, very soft
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 c. self-rising flour, sifted
Directions

1In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine shortening and margarine, sugar and egg; add to yeast.

3Add flour and mix well.

4Cover bowl with a damp towel or plastic wrap and place in refrigerator.

5When ready to use, stir dough down and fill greased muffin tins half full.

6Bake in 350° oven for 20 minutes, or you can cut them out.
