  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. margarine, very soft
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 c. self-rising flour, sifted

Directions

    In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Combine shortening and margarine, sugar and egg; add to yeast.

    Add flour and mix well.

    Cover bowl with a damp towel or plastic wrap and place in refrigerator.

    When ready to use, stir dough down and fill greased muffin tins half full.

    Bake in 350° oven for 20 minutes, or you can cut them out.
