  • 1 pinch cloves, ground
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 185 grams flour, all-purpose
  • 125 grams butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large eggs
  • 1 x salt to taste
  • 1 x apples, granny smith 2 tins, or you can cook and prepare fresh apples

    Firstly heat 2 tins pie apples or you can cook and prepare fresh apples, pinch of ground cloves, 4 dessertspoons sugar and cook for 15 mins--NO WATER !!!

    PATCHWORK PASTRY:

    Crumb dry ingredients with butter and add egg and milk then roll out.

    Grease a pie plate and cut pieces of pastry and do patchwork on the bottom of the plate.

    Spread base with apricot jam and fill with the apple mixture now cooled!!!

    !..patchwork the pastry on the top and sprinkle with sugar.

    Bake 350F (180C) for 1 hour.
