- 6 c. peeled, cored and sliced apples
- 3/4 c. maple syrup
- 4 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. water
- 1/4 c. softened butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. undiluted evaporated milk
Directions

1Combine apples and maple syrup in saucepan.

2Cook over medium heat until apples are just tender.

3Combine cornstarch and water; add to apple mixture.

4Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until mixture is clear and comes to a boil.

5Pour into 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish.
