  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 12 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup calorie reduced margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 34 cup Splenda sugar substitute
  • 1 large apple, unpeeled, grated
  • 14 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 13 cup walnuts, chopped, divided

Directions

    Stir together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.

    beat margarine until smooth.

    Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.

    Beat in Splenda for about 1 minute.

    Add flour mixture, apple and applesauce; beat until well blended, Stir in walnuts.

    Spread evenly in greased 8-inch square baking pan.

    Bake at 350F for about 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean, Cool, Cut into bars.
