Apple Walnut Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. instant chicken flavored bouillon or 3 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
  • 3/4 to 1 c. apple juice
  • 1 (14 oz.) pkg. herb seasoned stuffing mix
  • 2 c. chopped apple
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts

    In large skillet, cook celery and onion in margarine until tender.

    Add water and bouillon; cook until bouillon dissolves. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; add celery mixture. Mix well.

    Loosely stuff turkey just before roasting; place remaining stuffing in greased baking dish; bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until hot.

    Refrigerate leftovers.

    Makes about 2 quarts.
