  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter and add unbeaten egg.

    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with applesauce and raisins.
  3. 3
    Bake in greased tube pan (or 2 loaf pans) at 350° for about one hour, (less if in loaf pans).
