  • 4 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 c. oleo or butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Warm applesauce slightly and stir in soda.

    Add sugar and oleo and stir mixture well; then add flour, sifted with spices.

    Add raisins and nuts.

    Pour in tube pan, bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°.

    Let cool in pan for 30 minutes.
