  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 2 eggs (unbeaten)
  • 1 c. applesauce, cooled

    Mix dry ingredients (except sugar) together and set aside.

    Combine shortening, sugar, eggs and applesauce.
