  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. melted butter or Crisco
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. (can) unsweetened applesauce

Directions

    Sift together dry ingredients.

    In another bowl mix butter and sugar.

    Add eggs.

    Then add dry ingredients alternating with applesauce.

    Add raisins and pecans.

    Bake in a tube pan.

    Bake about 1 hour in a 350° oven (little less to start with).
