  • 2 1/2 c. sweet applesauce
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 or 2 c. nuts
  • 2 c. brown sugar or 1 c. white and 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3 tsp. soda
  • 1 heaping tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 or 2 boxes raisins

Directions

    Mix butter and sugar; add to warm applesauce.

    Add flour and spices.

    Add nuts and raisins which have been floured.

    Bake 2 hours at 350°.

    At the bottom of the oven, place a pan of water in the center of the oven.
