  • 1/3 c. lard
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. applesauce
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts

    Thoroughly cream honey and lard; add egg (well beaten).

    Add applesauce alternately with sifted things which have been mixed with raisins and nuts.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350°.
