- 4 medium cooking apples
- 1/4 c. sugar or more to taste
- 2-inch stick cinnamon
Directions

1Wash, pare if desired, quarter and core cooking apples. Simmer, covered, with cinnamon in a small amount of water until tender, about 10 minutes.

2Remove cinnamon.

3Press apples through sieve.

4Stir in sugar.

5Reheat to boiling.

6Pour, boiling hot, into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.

7Stir with rubber bottle scraper or other non-metallic spoon to remove air bubbles. Adjust caps.

8Process pints and quarts 20 minutes in boiling water bath.
