  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Beat eggs.

    Add sugar, and beat until stiff.

    Melt butter and add applesauce, mix together well.

    Sift flour and measure into bowl, then add soda, salt and spices to flour.

    Add small amounts at a time.

    Bake in muffin tins, lined with paper cups.

    Bake at 350° until done.
