  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. raisins
  • confectioners sugar

Directions

  1. 1
    Sift flour with baking soda and spices. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add flour mixture and then add applesauce, nuts and raisins. Mix well. Pour into 10 x 16 pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350°. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar when cool.
