- 4 pkg. Knox gelatine
- 2 1/2 c. cold applesauce
- 4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 c. chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. orange extract
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Soak Knox gelatine with 1 cup applesauce.

2In a large kettle combine 1 1/2 cups applesauce, sugar, salt and lemon juice; bring to a boil.

3Add gelatine mixture and boil for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.

4Cool.

5Add walnuts, orange extract and vanilla extract. Mix well and pour into well-greased 8 x 13-inch pan.

6Set in refrigerator overnight.

7Cut into squares and roll in powdered sugar.

8Let stand in open awhile to let edges dry.

9Can also use pureed strawberries, pears or apricots.
