  • 1 c. golden brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. apricot jam

Directions

    Beat brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla until smooth.

    Add in nuts and flour.

    Pour half the batter in 9-inch square pan. Spread 1/2 the jam.

    Pour in rest of batter.

    Cover with remaining jam.

    Bake at 325° about 45 to 50 minutes.

    Let cool.

    Cut into squares.
