Ingredients
- 2/3 c. dried apricots
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/3 c. flour
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Rinse apricots and boil for 10 minutes; drain.

2Cool.

3Chop into fine pieces.

4In small bowl, mix margarine, sugar and 1 cup flour until crumbly.

5In greased and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan, pat mixture down and bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

6Sift together 1/3 cup flour, baking powder and salt; then mix on low speed, brown sugar and eggs.

7Add flour mixture; mix well.

8Stir in vanilla, apricots and nuts.

9Spread over semi-cooled baked layer and bake 30 minutes longer at 350°.

10Cool completely; cut into 1 x 2-inch strips and dust with powdered sugar.
