Ingredients
- 2 c. (1 lb.) dried apricots, cut in half
- 1 c. boiling water
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, broken in half
Directions

1Soak apricot halves in boiling water for 15 minutes, then cool.

2Cream together butter and sugar.

3Add eggs to creamed mixture.

4Add apricots and water.

5Sift together dry ingredients and stir into apricot creamed mixture.

6Stir in pecans just until blended.

7Bake in greased and floured pan at 325° for 1 hour or until toothpick tests clean.

8Glaze with apricot jam while still hot.

9Probably my most asked for recipe.
