Ingredients

  • 1 c. diced dried apricots
  • 1/2 c. golden raisins
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • dash of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Snip apricots into 4 to 5 pieces each.

    Cook apricots and raisins in 2 cups water until soft and mushy, about 5 minutes.

    Add sugar, spices, salt and margarine.

    Mix and cool.

    Add eggs, flour and soda.

    Stir well with wooden spoon.

    Grease, flour and wax paper line loaf pans.

    Bake at 350° for 55 minutes, or until done with toothpick test.
