- 1 1/2 c. dried apricots
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 5 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1Cook dried apricots in 1 cup water.

2Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, salt and buttermilk.

3Sift flour, soda and baking powder; add nuts.

4Mix with batter.

5Fold in apricots.

6Let stand 20 minutes.

7Bake in large loaf pan for 1 1/4 hours at 350°.
