- 1 c. chopped apricots
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Soak apricots for 30 minutes; drain.

2Mix the first 6 ingredients.

3Sift dry ingredients together and add chopped nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan or 2 pound coffee can.

4Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350°.
