- 2 pkg. Red Star yeast (dry)
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. softened margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. hot scalded milk
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 unbeaten eggs
- 5 to 5 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. apricot preserves
- 1/2 c. pecans
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Combine in mixing the bowl 1/2 cup margarine or butter, sugar, scalded milk and salt.

3Stir to melt butter or margarine to lukewarm.

4Add unbeaten eggs, beating after each.

5Gradually add flour to form stiff ball of dough. Knead for 5 minutes on floured surface.
