  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. pecans
  • 1 c. dried diced apricots

Directions

    Cream 1 cup sugar, shortening and egg.

    Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and orange juice.

    Add dry ingredients.

    Stir apricots and nuts into batter.

    Bake in greased and floured loaf pan for 1 hour at 325° for glass pan or at 350° for metal pan.
