  • 1/2 c. dried apricots
  • 1/2 c. dates or raisins
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. milk or orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter

    Soak apricots 15 minutes in hot water to cover.

    Cut up apricots and dates.

    Sift dry ingredients together and mix with fruit and nuts.

    Add liquids and beat well.

    Turn into greased loaf pan and let stand 15 minutes.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done when tested with toothpick.
