Apricot Nut Bread

- 1 c. dried apricots
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Soak apricots in warm water for 30 minutes.

2Drain and chop. Mix with sugar.

3Mix soft margarine and egg.

4Stir in water and orange juice.

5Sift and stir in flour, baking powder, soda and salt.

6Blend nuts and apricots and combine with batter.

7Line greased pan with wax paper and let stand 20 minutes before baking. Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350°.

8Remove from pan and remove wax paper at once.
