- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar and salt together. Cut in 1 cup shortening. Scald milk. Cool to lukewarm. Add the yeast and let soften. Add the slightly beaten egg and vanilla.

2Add to flour mixture.

3Mix well. Divide dough in 4 parts.

4On a board dusted with confectioners sugar, roll out in 10-inch square. With pie crust crimper, cut each square into 16 (2 1/2-inch) squares.

5Place a heaping teaspoonful of apricot filling in center.

6Bring opposite corners together.

7Place 2-inches apart on greased sheet.

8Let stand 10 minutes.

9Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350°. Remove immediately from sheet. Roll in sugar.
