- 1 tsp. sugar or honey
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 (1 Tbsp.) pkg. dry active yeast
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. whole wheat flour
Directions

1Dissolve sugar in water in bowl; sprinkle yeast over sugar and water mixture.

2Let stand 10 minutes.

3Combine all ingredients; work into a medium-stiff dough.

4Knead until smooth and elastic (8 to 10 minutes).

5Cover and let rise until doubled in size.

6Form into small balls and roll each

7ball into 1/4-inch thick circles. Cover with a tea towel and let rise again 15 to 30 minutes.

8Heat oven and cookie sheet to 500°.

9Turn circles of dough over onto hot cookie sheets
-
10and bake for 2 to 5 minutes (just until they puff up).

11Turn over and bake for a few seconds until light brown on the other side.

12Cool and store in plastic bags or freeze.
