- 1 lb. pinto beans
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (6 oz.) tomato puree
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. cumin
Directions

1Soak dry beans in water overnight.

2Save ground beef and drain off excess fat.

3Add chopped onion, tomato puree and the soaked beans.

4Mix chili powder and cumin.

5Add to bean mixture.

6Bring to a boil; turn down heat and cook slowly until onion and beans are tender, adding water if needed, and salt to taste.
