  • 1 pound Ground Beef (chuck Preferred)
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Fresh Ginger (use Microplane Grater)
  • 1/2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 pound Fresh Mushrooms
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 4 slices Tomato
  • 4 pieces Burger Buns

    Combine the ground beef, 2 Tbls soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and black pepper in a bowl.

    Use your hands to thoroughly mix all of the ingredients.

    Divide and shape the mixture into 4 burger patties.

    Prepare the grill for direct heat.

    Or you can use a large frying pan or grill pan.

    Cook the burger 3-5 minutes each side or until cooked through.

    While the burger is cooking, cook the mushrooms.

    Heat a large saute pan over medium-high heat.

    Add the butter and swirl to coat.

    Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook until the mushrooms have browned and softened, about 5 minutes.

    Add the 1 tsp soy sauce and balsamic vinegar, cook an additional 1 minute.

    To serve, assemble each burger with lettuce, tomato, burger, mushrooms.
