- 1 can (15 oz.) asparagus spears (with juice)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- saltines

1Coat casserole dish with margarine.

2Cover bottom of casserole with layer of crushed crackers.

3Place layer of asparagus (1/2 can) over crackers.

4Cover asparagus with a layer of mushroom soup (1/2 can).

5Place layer of grated cheese.

6Repeat until all ingredients used.

7Dot with margarine or butter.

8Pour juice from asparagus over top layer.

9Bake at 400° approximately 20 to 30 minutes until cheese melts and lightly browns.
