- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans green asparagus tips, drained (save juice)
- dash of paprika
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3/4 c. cracker crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. light cream
- salt and pepper to taste (I use white pepper)
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces
Directions

1Melt butter in small skillet.

2Stir in flour; when well blended,

4in 2 tablespoons asparagus liquid

8Stir in cream; cook and stir

9constantly until mixture thickens. Add salt and pepper.

18Line bottom of 2-quart casserole dish
