- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- Bonito flakes (optional)

1Clean asparagus; cut at an angle into fourths.

2In a large pot, bring water to a rapid boil.

3Parboil asparagus until tender but very crisp.

4Immediately plunge asparagus into cold water to cool.

5Drain very well and place aside.

6Combine remaining ingredients for sauce and pour over asparagus right before serving.
