Asparagus Roll-Ups

- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 22 to 24 slices white bread
- 1 (15 oz.) can asparagus spears, well drained
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients well; set aside.

2Trim crust from bread; roll to 1/2-inch thickness.

3Spread each with a rounded teaspoonful of butter mixture.

4Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese sparingly.

5Place asparagus spear on each slice.

6Roll jelly roll fashion; secure with a wooden pick.

7Brush with melted butter; place on an ungreased baking sheet.

8Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove picks; serve warm.
