- 3 c. chicken stock
- 2 c. asparagus, cooked
- 2 c. asparagus water
- 2 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 onion
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Cut the tips off the cooked asparagus and set aside.

2Combine the rest of the asparagus; cut in pieces, with the onion, chicken stock and asparagus water.

3Cook for 10 minutes.

4Strain this mixture by rubbing through a sieve.

5Melt the butter; stir in the flour and blend.

6Add the milk and seasonings to taste.

7Cook for a few minutes.

8Add the strained broth and asparagus tips.

9Cook for 5 minutes.

10Serve.
