- 2 c. white sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk (Carnation)
- pinch of soda
- 2 c. pecans
- 1/2 stick butter
Directions

1Heat 1 cup sugar and milk while melting the other 1 cup sugar in heavy pan.

2Combine the two mixtures.

3Add soda (be careful, this boils up quickly).

4Add pecans immediately.

5Boil slowly to 237° on candy thermometer.

6Beat by hand and add butter.

7Pour out to harden.

8Break into pieces.

9Enjoy!
