- 1 cup flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 cups cornmeal
- 34 cup sugar
- 12 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and corn meal together; set aside.

3In a second bowl, mix together the oil, sugar, eggs and milk.

4Pour the liquid mixture into the dry mixture and beat together.

5You may need to add a bit more milk - it should be the consistency of cake batter.

6Pour into a greased and floured 9 inch square pan.

7Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

8If you would like to add chopped jalapenos or cheese, I would suggest decreasing the amount of sugar, as this does make a pretty sweet bread, and I don't think it would be suitable flavour with heat!
