- 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease 2 (9 x 1 1/2-inch) round cake pans.

3Line with wax paper and grease paper.

4In 3-quart saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate and butter; remove from heat.

5With wooden spoon, beat in eggs.

6Stir in sugar, milk, vanilla and salt. Add flour and baking powder.

7Stir until smooth.

8Add nuts.

9Pour into pans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks for five minutes.

10Remove from pans.

11Remove paper immediately.

12Cool completely on wire racks.
