Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 4 c. hot water
- 1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet (or 2 bouillon cubes)
- 1 c. diced potatoes
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 c. diced carrots
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 fresh tomatoes, cut up (or 3 c. juice)
Directions

1Brown beef slowly in skillet.

2Add onions, cook 5 minutes. Put beef and onions in 8 quart kettle.

3Add remaining ingredients, except tomatoes.

4Bring to boil; cover, and simmer 20 to 30 minutes.

5Add tomatoes, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes longer. Cooks note:
