  • 3/4 lb fresh tomatillos
  • 3 California avocados
  • 1-2 Serrano or jalapeno peppers, minced
  • 1/2 bunch chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 fresh limes, juiced well
  • 1/2 large onion (red or white), finely chopped
  • Salt -- generous, to taste
