- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 (1 3/4 oz.) envelope chili seasoning mix
- 1 (16 oz.) can peeled tomatoes
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1/2 c. tomato juice or water
- dash of salt
- 1/4 tsp. cumin (comino) powder (optional)
Directions

1In skillet, brown beef in hot oil, chopping it into small granules as it cooks.

2Drain off excess fat.

3Sprinkle mix over meat; stir well.

4Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil, stirring to blend flavors.

5Reduce heat; cover and simmer at least 15 minutes.
