  • 1/4 lb. bacon
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper and chili powder to taste
  • 2 or 3 slices day old bread, cut in cubes

Directions

    Brown bacon; drain and crumble.

    Add onions and brown.

    Add ground meat and brown.

    Add seasonings.

    Add kidney beans and tomatoes; mix.

    Cover with cubes of bread.

    Bake at 350° for approximately 1 hour.

    Great with baked potato and salad.
