- 1 lb. butter or margarine
- 5 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. condensed milk
- 1 (18 oz.) can Koshian or Tsubishian (red bean paste)
- 1 egg white
Directions

1Cream softened margarine with sugar.

2Add salt to flour. Alternately add flour mixture and condensed milk to creamed margarine until well blended.

3Put 1/2 of dough into a 9 x 13-inch pan.

4Flatten to cover bottom of pan.

5Spread Koshian or Tsubushian to cover dough.

6Add rest of dough and spread to cover the red beans.

7Brush top with beaten egg white.

8Bake at 300° for 1 hour until lightly brown.

9Cut into 1 x 3-inch rectangles when done.

10Cool in pan.
