  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal mix
  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 c. real bacon pieces (crumbled)
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Directions

    Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine all ingredients and mix well.

    Pour into a well-greased 10 inch skillet. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown on top. Remove from skillet immediately.
