- 1 egg
- about 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- dash of salt
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 c. water or milk
- garden lettuce or other green vegetable
- 3 to 4 strips bacon
Directions

1Beat egg and add sugar, cornstarch and salt.

2Beat until smooth.

3Add vinegar and water or milk.

4Cut bacon into small pieces and fry until brown.

5Take bacon from fat and reserve for garnish.

6Boil dressing in fat until thick and mix with lettuce. A hard-boiled egg may be sliced on top with the bacon.
